I don't spend any time on that forum unless I have a technical question. But even then I don't ask for help. I just try to search for my answer. I have read too many posts that someone asks a question and all they get is a bunch of idiots trying to out insult each other. That's why I get upset on here when I see others doing the same thing. I don't want this forum to turn into one like that one.

The S-10forum is a total bunch off d-bags. The site S10Planet is much nicer but almost dead. That was my home before here. I still have a dime and about 1/2 a truck worth of parts. If you need help I have a 1/2 decent knowledge base of all things S-10 related.

Thanks, it didn't take long for me to learn that. They don't even follow their own rules, I reported one post for harassing and age discrimination and the mod basically chewed me out for reporting it.

I've heard 2 stupid comments the biggest one from some Honda ricer guy that's like 34 years old always (tries) to give me shit and I hear it from other people all the time is always why did you get a automatic in which I reply I didn't buy this from Chevy I didn't even plan on buying a car when I got this second with 650 hp what's it matter you want to race they never do so whatever. Seems like all the ignorant comments I get are from female co-workers. I described one exchange in an earlier post. Just last week I get this one:

female co-worker: Nice car.

me: Thank you.

female co-worker: I just can't see paying for a fancy car like that. I'd rather travel.

This coming from someone who has his and her Harleys and a husband who drives a late model GMC pick-up with a Duramax. The hypocrisy of her statement left me speechless.

In my parking lot there is a guy (really cool) who owns a Subaru BRZ (manual). He was stunned to learn that I purchased the L99 automatic ... and said "but dog ... you gave up all the horsepower!". He is a really cool guy but I just thought it was funny. I figured my explanation was good enough .... I never learned to drive stick. In my family ... no one drove stick and cars were not very important. It was not until I turned 28 and started making good $$$ that I was interested in muscle cars. Why would i spend over 40k to purchase a stickshift car that I would destroy bc I cannot drive stick?

You would be surprised the kind of abuse a manual car can take 😳 I've ridden with some people who were absolutely awful and had owned the car for 7 years, it is quite shocking what a clutch can take lol
