I know I am SO ready for summer. My Camaro is my DD. Luckily, only got stranded once this year. So grateful.

I can't complain too much because my truck is a work truck so I'm happy that they give me a truck to do my 40,000+ miles a year in. However, you are a smart man for not "drinking the kool-aid". IMO, Ford can keep their two turbos, I want my two cylinders back!! My "eco"boost engine gets worse gas mileage than my old 5.4L V8. It also gets worse mileage than the new 5.0's in trucks. This has been my only turbo vehicle and as such has ruined me for turbos in the future. In slow moving heavy traffic, when you want to keep up on someone so that every idiot on the road doesn't try and smash themselves in front of you the turbos seem to kick in just about the time that the person in front of you puts their brakes back on. So there's some power, some power, some power, crap load of power and brake lights lighting up. I typically keep my transmission in a lower gear to keep the turbos spooled in that situation for instant power. (I know awful gas mileage, but it was crap anyway.)

If you think that a few days for the roads to 'dry up' gets rid of the salt, I have bad news:

It don't work that way

I'm sorry but you need some good, hard driving rain for a few days. Take your car to a touchless car wash and get the undercarriage cleaned, too

here in kansas city, we got hammered sat. nite again. i took my camaro out saturday afternoon before the weather got bad just to drive it around the block and clean the rotors. tired of looking at rusty rotors, so had to drive and make sure battery charged up. up to 498 miles on odometer.

Snow/ice-->potholes-->summer road construction.
Can't hide the entire year. I don't mail a monthly check to Wells Fargo just to look at it.

...snow...cold.....snow, the worst winter ever I have seen in Jersey and I am born and bred here....and...the winter into spring forecast suggests that March's weather will carry over thoughout April and May due to a ridge set up off the West Coast. Mini ice age is upon us here this season in the Midwest, and Northeast. There's no driving for me in the the ZL1 with roads wasted by potholes and snow treatment chemicals abound, not to even mention the leftover physical debris from the cars suffering the effects of encountering the poor road conditions. Tree limbs, branches, snow mountains from the plows, ice in shaded areas on roadways, potholes, debris of all kinds...it's a driver hazard like never seen before.

Here in south Texas (we're not used to this type of weather.) we've had a lot of ice lately.

Done with winter cold, done with driving a dirty Camaro. However, winter not done with me in Ottawa Ontario. Monday, wind chill -23 F, can still get snow flurries into April. All salt dust not washed off streets until early May?

Might be taking mine out this Sunday if the roads are clean enough. We have had a lot of salt applied to the streets with all this snow and ice. But the extended fore cast is the low 50's for the weekend. It's been like 3 or four months since the car has been driven.

STOP hogging all the wet. We have so dry here on the left coast. We are 48 percent of normal rainfall for the year. You can send some of your rain our way and we wont complain. The 51 days strait of sunshine this "winter" got old.
permigrin everyday.

Certainly a post worth it's own thread but IF I buy a Camaro SS this Spring it's going to have to be a daily driver. I am in mASSachusetts and yes this winter has been the most brutal I can remember in a very long time (I am 38 years old).
