hmmmmm a group buy could potentially knock that down. Everyone just needs to agree on the compression ratio

The compression that was quoted would be for 10.5:1, that is what Trent had his spec'd to.
Checking with a shop here in Fl (Total Engine Concepts)that was referred to me by the guy at Diamond Pistons, not sure if price will be any different

1500 is crazy since I only paid 1200. But since GPI helped me work with Diamond on the pistons they may have got a better price. They do buy a lot of pistons.

Guess I'll be spending over $1500 so I can get LLT pistons with their valve reliefs and want it coated so I can delete the oil squiters, gain a few hp up top.

Will getting rid of the oil squirters effect engine lube and longevity?

It will affect the piston cooling, which if it is coated it won't matter as much. The squiters cause some power loss at very high RPM, but not much. A different engine had a detail article about it.

A bulk discount would be awesome, but....

I was considering getting deeper valve recesses for possibly a custom cam with more lift. On the other hand, it may be a rabbit hole I don't want to go down.

The coating is a pretty much unanimous decision.

I don't know if we'd all come to a consensus on CR. I'd be fine with 10:1 or 10.5:1. (BRO we can totally go 9:1 with 30 lbs of boost!)

Since I know there is a handful of us with JacFab ConRods, we should discuss the possibility of us all agreeing on a piston design.
That said, whos down for Trent's piston design?
Forged Steel 4032(?)
10.5:1
Coating(?)
No taper on piston skirt for JacFab ConRods

Or maybe:
Forged Steel 4032
10:1
Double Diamond Coating
No taper on piston skirt for JacFab ConRods

Or:
Forged Steel 4032
10.5:1
Deeper valve reliefs
Double Diamond Coating
No taper on piston skirt for JacFab ConRods

Any other ideas or combinations/additions, guys?

I don't think anyone should go less than 10.5:1 on the compression. You can get away with a lot on these DI engines, especially when you add meth to the mix. I probably could have went a little higher. Just remember the lower you go on the compression the less power you will make when not in boost.
