Normally I hate to resurrect dead threads but since this one touches on how I plan to mod my Camaro I thought I would contribute my 1.9 cents (with Canadian exchange) ...
One of the biggest reasons is how much quicker you can get up to the speed limit compared to stock, especially between lights or in city driving. So, if the speed limit is 45 MPH and you can get there significantly quicker, you correspondingly have less time to slow down in reaction to changing conditions, such as someone running a red light or changing lanes while ogling your Camaro. So you want to be able to stop faster. So bigger/better brakes/rotors/SS lines/fluid etc. Answering the original question, there are now 6 caliper front 4 caliper rear 15" rotor upgrades available as well as ceramic upgrades. - SK |
