You have to put it in the oven to soften the glue and pry off the front lens with a butter knife.

It was suggested to me on another forum about my current car to use 200 degree heat for about 10 minutes to soften the glue on my corner lights. I once did it for about 40 minutes and got a bit more of it loosened up.

I think it all depends on the glue, but I wasn't able to seperate my corner lights and wound up breaking them.

Nick,

Can you take a picture of the headlight and post? I might be able to help. Just want to make sure I am looking at the same part.

Man my camera is dead but the housing has six screws you can see from the front of the enclosure. I will have to take pictures tomorrow.

if you go to www.youtube.com there is an instructional video. I believe they are installing the Oracle brand halos. I watched since I plan on changing mine out seemed to be helpful. Good luck hope it works out for you.

I tried the oven to the point that I started melting the plastic. There is NO WAY to get that assembly apart.

I believe the screws are only holding the black molding to the lens, they don't hold the entire fixture together. Once the assemble is opened, you can get to the screws from the inside.

Has ANYONE figured a way to get them opened without breaking them???

Look at the RED arrows i placed on the photo . thats where you have to start to pry open the thing after placing it in the oven @270 degrees for 20 min.The screw what you are pointing to with the white arrowns are NOT to open the headlamp. Once opened they will let you remove the inner mounting hardware which you do NOT NEED to play with once opened. It HARD to open them up. I had to place in the oven about 4 times for the first headlamp to get it to open. Once you get it a little separated with a screwdrive & just enough to get your fingers underneath it to pull it open its easy. The trick to get it cracked open with the srew driver without breaking it. Whwn i replaced it in the oven I just let it for 5 min. just to keep the glus soft. The first headlamp took me 1 hour to crak it. The secound one took 3 times in the oven & 30 min.total once I knew how much force was needed to open them up.
srory about the long rant
