Again loud and sounds good are two different things.

I can post these too.

How about I want clean sound without door panels rattling or speakers distorting. I could purchase better speakers for $500 and I would of opted for the 1ss speakers if I could turn back time and that was an option.

But all you have to say is

First he said sound good which is relative. I can't speak for Ccecil but few car stereos are what I would consider good, most won't even get an OK from me.

Second the Camaro isn't a 37k car, it's a mid 20's car and if you buy an SS you're still buying a mid to high 20's car, you're just also buying an extra 7k in factory performance and at 37k you're taking a mid 20's car, loading it with options and a 7k factory performance package. When you consider that the Camaro's stereo standard or BA is about what you would expect, not a standout but far from the worst you'll find in similiarly priced vehicles.

I'm happy with the BA system, mostly after adding a ******** sub

I don't blast music, so no issues there.

This car has a stereo? I'm sorry, I'm too busy listening to the sweet sounds of the LS3.

This is why the aftermarket companies like ares is so much fun.

Some are fine with stock parts and god bless them...

Some want a killer sound...so mod it
Some want a killer look... so mod it
Some want killer power...so mod it

To each there own and have fun..

I personally do not like anything stock..

I have mixed emotions about the BA system as well.

I've always used their aftermarket stuff and LOVE it so I was pretty stoked when they announced BA was an option... BUT it's not as good as I had hoped.. It is very good for a factory unit but just below what I would want from an aftermarket system...

So for now I will enjoy it. and eventually upgrade to better BA stuff.

But realistically for the money it's a really good factory system!

Did you ever tell us all what volume level you get this "distortion" and "door panel rattling" at? Oh, and here's another for you.

While I think the statement that this sound system sucks is on the ridiculous side, I understand wanting to upgrade a stock system. That's what the aftermarket is for. Just ask your butler.

I've had Lexus' and I've had Mercs... the BA system does as good a job as good as their systems... minus the bass of course.
I agree, I can hardly get it over 25-27 depending on the song without it being painful, and it doesn't sound distorted its just way too loud.

I kind of expected more myself after all the hoopla about it, it's acceptable but not stellar in any way.

I think the BA system is acceptable as a stock system. Its on par with the monsoon system tops.

I'm definitely happy with the BA system!! I'm not quite sure how much bass you guys are looking for without rattling the cells in your body but for me the system is way more than sufficient. I even tried turning the bass up to 10 and truthfully I just didn't like the way it sounded. Hek if nothing else it totally kicks but over my '96 Camaro sound system that I owned years ago. Anyone else listening to Vivaldi out there ?
