I know everybody should know this one but what about FTW? I have figured out just about everything else but in the context of sentences I've seen this in I'm still not sure what it represents.

Wikipedia offers:

For the Win
Free the World
F%&k the World

If it is the last one (which is what I suspect), I still don't get it. Sounds like a heavymetal headbang phrase but don't see the meaning behind it. Maybe there is no meaning and it's a sign that I'm getting old in my early 40's.

I haven't particularly noticed the usage here, but most often I see that used as For the Win. For example, PCs vs. Macs: PCs FTW! Or Camaro vs. Mustang: Camaro FTW!

Well that certainly makes more sense to me but in the context I've seen it, it didn't quite fit either which is why I'm asking. I hope it is as you say. Thanks for the enlightenment.

I know WTF. How about other acronyms? I have a hard time keeping in the conversation some times.

They should have a runny glossary tab for such things.
