Question Who has 305/30 R19 tires all around on their 1LE

Who has the 305/30/ZR19 on all 4 wheels in their 1LE (like on Pedders Camaro or in the new Z28)?. Any improvement at the track?. Do you had to lower it? How wide are your wheels?. Do you had to adjust your speedometer? Post some pictures.

For the track. Wider tires & wheels = Better handling. Like on the Z28 and Pedders

You would need 10.5" width, yes there would be a weight and gearing benefit, and you only have to lower it if you want but the tire change will already drop it about 3/4" and also increase fender gap. If you want it accurate you would need to adjust the speedo.

Wider tires = more friction on the track. Thats why our 1LE's come with the same size tires on the front and rear. Just the rear tires are stretched onto the wider rear wheels.

No it was done for neutral handling with a square setup.

Someone who wants a true track tire. There are a few options in 20's for street/track tire hybrids but the true track tires don't come in sizes larger than 19's (without being ultra-expensive).

Just keep in mind that a lot of very smart folks put together a package that has been deemed "the best handling Camaro ever". The current tire and wheel combo is part of that package. It is your car, and I am not saying it can not be improved upon, but bigger is not always better!
