Question about order numbers

I don't think anyone on here can tell me WHEN an order was entered in the computer (I'm at 1100, so it isn't like I can even get a TPW), but can someone tell me if the order numbers are sequential in any way? I've noticed NKxxx and NMxxx order codes...mine is NNSM50 and I'm curious when it was entered.

I'm sure all is well with the dealer, but the wait is crazy...especially since the constraints came out. I may need to do something different...like find a car on the lot vs. waiting til January or February if that is what it means.

I placed my order on 8-14 and I went from to 1100 to 3000 already with a TPW of 9-14. My order # starts with NNJ. Just depends on your dealer. My salesman gave me the call yesterday that it will be built in as little as 19 days. I ordered a 2SS/RS

Have your dealer print out the GM Workbench Order History for yours. It will show the date it was ordered.

It seems the 2SS/RS models are moving very fast once they get to 2000. Like yours, many in just 4-5 weeks door to door.
Speaking of WORKBENCH copies on another post above: I called my dealer after delivery and they sent me a completed workbench copy. Very cool and a great record of your Camaro's build. Ask for one when you pick up your car.

Gary, the very first thing you need to ask your dealer is IF they have a allocation, if they don't or if they do but you are on a waiting list at your dealer, it could be a while before your order is actually input to the GM system, if your order is at 1100, its been input, but the order yas not been excepted as of yet.
