Tires for 20x9.5
I'm looking at getting some 20x9.5 replica wheels for a 2LT. I know there is liberty in the rear, but what is the optimum tire size for longevity? I'm a poor college student, so I want some fat tires, but they have to last plenty long. I'm not looking at anything like the Eagle F1 Supercar or P-Zero...I know they're great, but I can't afford:/ lol.
I know the stock size for both rear and front is 245/45, but as I said, I'm looking at 20s. If you can find 21' ZL1 replicas, great. Otherwise, thanks for the help! |

I would recommend the Continental DWS if your looking for a good tire that last's long and has decent traction in dry and wet conditions. It's an all season tire. I just had a set and I was really happy with them. I ran 295's on the rears and 275's on the fronts. I got them through tire rack and they are hard to beat for the price.

Hey Pasha, depending on your road quality and location that all comes into play for the tire wear.
Also depending on how heavy your foot is also lol. A good bang for your bucks tire is the Accelera Phi its a 320 AAA and 92Y speed rating great quality. I personally use a set on one of my cars and great longevity about ~ 30-35k miles. remember the more performance based a tire is the lower the tread wear the softer the tire so the faster it will wear out. a Conti DWS tire is a 520AAA tread wear so it will last the longest but that is due to it being a all season tire plus it is ALOT more expensive then the accelera tire.
