Trade in?
Im interested in trading up to a an SS but the only thing really holding me back is all the mods i already have done to my current car. Obviously not all the mods will transfer over (exhaust and CAI) but my question is if i trade up do you think or will the dealer let me swap all my mods on my current car with the parts from the new car? Mainly concerned with my exterior mods like my ZL1 bumber, skirts, and tinted markers and tail lights and the interior trim pieces i already have painted. I have a IBM 2010 1LT RS and i found a 2010 IBM 2SS for a pretty solid price.

Doesn't hurt to ask.

You can ask, but I doubt it. As it's a trade in, the paperwork (ie: title transfer) will occur when you sign all the paperwork to get the new car. At which point it will be their car, and they aren't likely to let you touch it.

I would have to agree with Jim.
Always keep your stock parts so if this happens you can swap them out. Look in the for sale section and pick up the stock parts so you can keep your modded parts.

Still got my side skirts and front bumper just missing the stock grill. And the interior I spent a lot of time and effort painting and obviously I don't have a spare set of interior trim pieces since they are the painted stock ones. Whelp looks like I'm gonna tough it out for now. Finish paying this off and wait on a new vette lol
