This is part of a reply I sent to a message I had received. Please read (no names mentioned):

No matter what I say, I get jabbed. I came on UC5 with the best of intentions, hoping that peeps could be mature enough to handle a former member who now owned a different make vehicle.

But I say something nice, one person replies positively. I poke a littke fun, and 1/2 a dozen respond with mildly veiled insults. To tell you the truth, I'm horribly dissapointed with most of the replies I've received.

Sure, I drive a Mustang, so I expext there's going to be a little tongue-in-cheek ribbing. But they've gone beyond that now. UC5 seems unable to just accept me as a fellow pony car owner and let it go at that. I thought they could handle it ... I was wrong.

For me it's NOT about the cars ... it's about the PEOPLE. I don't dislike Camaros, Hyundais, Chargers, whatever. But what I do dislike are nasty people.

UC5 then, has for all intent and purposes blocked my involvement with them. Heh, I tried.

You can't blame a guy for trying ...

If the weather stays good , we can meet up there around 12-noon to 1: PM ,,, Hang out & see everyone, catch up on things , and if everyone wants to go to dinner we can decide that up there ,. If anyone can come or stop by that would be great , I 'm making a list up , PM me if you'r like to add you'r name , This is informal , so nothing big , just relax..Maybe a cruise , we can see then ... Frank, I too am sorry if I offended you in any way! I agree with the above posts and I really enjoyed the light humored sparring! I love your reply's to our jabbing, very funny!

I hope whoever sent you a nasty PM would appologise. We're all here to have fun but sometimes it does get carried away. Being a Mustang guy you gotta expect a little jab now and then because this is a CAMARO forum! Just like if I posted on a Mustang forum I'd expect some jabbing being a Camaro guy!

I think the majority of us here have fun posting back and forth with you so I hope you don't let a bad PM discourage you from hangin with us!

OK, now I'm disappointed. I was about to respond to your comments about 80's Mustangs being faster than 80's Camaros. Don't feel like doing that now. I've thought it was all fun, I mean I'm running a stock 1LT so I can't very well claim to be faster than anybody else on here.

It is also hard to correctly read someone's tone in text form, they can be laughing while typing it and the reader thinks they were mad and obnoxious. Sorry someone sent you an angry PM, but I think most or all the postings on here have been fun.

People have bad days and sometimes take it out on someone else. Clearly from the other messages today that isn't the common club response.

Oh come on now Frank...its all in love and fun..nobody here cares what anybody drives in a serious way...it just food for the Dean Martin Comedy Roast's that occur here.
Heak I get it all the time..but I know its in fun, I really think because we are a tighter group that we push the limits a little more...but there is definatley no disrespect meant. You should see the things we say about Andy!!! (Ooops did I say that out loud....LOL)
