the cost of this meet? im waiting for a rep from the cyclones to let me know, if i have to get a block party permit its like 25 bucks and ill take care of that oncei know a date and a guesstimate number of how many cars to expect i can go to work and make this a fun day in coney island

durring the summer coney island is much cleaner but if you dont want to go to coney island ill step aside and this meet will die before itleft the ground and the next empty parking lot meet can be planed

My 2cents, since I have been involved in car meet planning in the past. If you want people to show up for a meet you are planning. Get you car first, and come to a few local meets so people know who you are. People show up for the Planner, more than any other reason. Many of us know each other already from meets that we went to. It is hard to trust someone you never met, and plan a whole day around them. Most people, myself included, have little personal time and want use the time wisely.

Once people know you, then you may want to work with NY5thGen and make suggestions for a meet and help them get it together.

Just my 2 cents.

sorry brad its dead in the water apparently i am unqualified to organize a location for a meet due to no one knows me and i dont have my car yet sorry bro, i would of been a fun time for all great family atmosphere but oh well

I think its great you want to bring people together Xmicro was trying to give you some advice these things can be a pain to plan, trust me I know. He was just saying come out to some meets. Maybe hit up Bellmore on a Sunday morning with us here on LI its a nice relaxed meet and you will meet some real nice people. The meets you want to try to get going are pretty ambitious. Which is great thinking big is awesome but A meet in times square or even Coney will be a real pain to plan in the end with a lot of responsibilty. We have been down those roads before. Hopefully you can make a Bellmore meet Camaro or not. It usually between 15 and 20 Camaros and some vettes and other surprises.
