question about the zex nitrous system

I have the zex system for the v6 camaro. My nmu, doesn't work properly. It sprays as soon as I activate the switch which its not suppose to do. Suppose to activate when I press the thottle. . Well I decide to drive and activate the switch at above 3000rpms which seems to work. Is this wrong or is there any advice someone can give me. Also I been using the 75 shot, I want to use the 100 bit people telling me I need to retard the belt, but this one guy said because I'm in El paso aND attitude is so high, I don't need to retard the belt, he been pushing 125 shot. My car isn't tuned, I have no idea how much a turn would cost. If someone could hit me up with some knowledge about this kit and nitrous I'll appreciate it

One issue u will run into by not retarding the timing is you will encounter knock retard so u still won't get the most from ur kit. U might want to install a window switch so it comes on at 3k and off at ur desired setting. I think mine is at 6800

Yes, just a few wires. I have it mounted in the glove box.

Sounds like to me that maybe the WOT switch isn't calibrated and/or hooked up correctly. A window switch is a good idea as well (I run mine from 2500-7000), but you also want to make sure that it is only spraying at WOT. To get the most out of the nitrous I would suggest a tune. I run a Trifecta tune on mine at the moment and I am really happy with it, but I think it is a safe tune and there might be a little more to get out of it. So I might switch over to HP in the future.

Mine is a '10... I was thinking it was a white wire, but I would have to look for sure.

Yeah i know the wire harness changes after 2011, so I have one fewer and different color wires, I'm gonna just have to search for the voltage

I looked at mine this weekend and it is a purple wire on the throttle body harness.
