Hot Sun Bad For Our Paint?

Just wondering How hot does it have to be before our paint starts melting off our cars

The Leather above the stereo has bubbles now in center from all this heat...
Texas Weather.. I try to park in our garage at work every day. But still driving is hell.

You should take the protective plastic off the radio face.

No he shouldn't. If he doesn't care, then why take it off?

Because if you leave it on there long enough in the heat it will eventually dry out and permanently affix itself to the radio face

I can tell you that if you put vinyl stripes on your car they will not last 18 months

Paint dries when either water or solvent evaporate leaving behind paint solids...it won't happen.

Your interior on the other hand - as you see - can be affected

My interior the leather part is bubbling up, thinking about dealer trip soon, and as far as plastic cover goes, i just like it to be scratch free lol. No stripes on my car though, but the pain is like flaming hot when touched it today >.<

Surf city makes a spray that is a none wax that protects your paint from the sun. Also if you have tinted windows 3m makes a clear coating that can be applied to the front windshield that will help block the sun and heat. My air-condition keeps my car a lot cooler since I installed this product on my front windshield.
