You know, unemployment isn't as bad as people make it out to be.

Ah come on, rain soaked? It was a bit wet, but pro driver on grooved tires. Not as big a deal as it's made out to be. If GM thought so, they would have run again. The time the Z/28 ran is great, why the need to fudge it?

Full Disclosure: I have a deposit on a GT350. Should have it late 3rd quarter/early 4th. That said, both Chevrolet and Ford are creating amazing muscle/pony/sports cars I use the slash marks because the lines between these classifications are being blurred by these amazing performance machines.

Some of the guys on the mustang boards are Really hoping that the Shelby out performs the top handling Camaro. No doubt there are people on these boards hoping the exact opposite. I don't really care. I know that either car will have abilities so impressive that my limited skill set won't crack 8/10ths of what either car can do.

Pick your poison gentlemen. These are great times to be an American performance car enthusiast, no matter your personal tastes.

Chevrolet uses a similar system on Camaro and Corvette models with an optional head-up display

So basically the GT350 cuts the weight of the PP GT, and the R improves upon a little. Not drastic reduction in weight, but very believable.

The GTPP must weigh over 3800 lbs. The GT350 is close to 3800 lbs based on the 130+ lbs the R loses over the standard GT350.

Didn't know there was a 130lb difference between the R and GT350. Most every review with the GT PP have been Premiums weighing in the 3800lb range. So it would appear the GT350 makes no reduction in weight but just adds the better suspension and motor. Sounds like to me the GT350 will be more of competition for the 6th gen than the GT with PP.

The R has no a/c, no stereo, no back seat and the carbon wheels. I thought I read the GT350 cuts some weight off the GTPP but I don't know. I think the GT350 comes with the carbon radiator support.

So maybe in the high 3700lb range for the GT350 no option.
