No doubt it makes the car sharper, way more than the cost of the guages

I would rather have gauges to look at than a idiot light that might or might not work. Gauges have come in handy for me on my other vehicles in the past so i figure they will do the same on this one too. Mind you Water, Oil and Electrical is the only ones i like to look at. They also look cool.

By the way none of the vehicles had a guage for transmission oil temperature. Why is it imprtant now. I agree the guages look cool and thats why I ordered them. The only temperture guage useful to me is water temperature.
If its usefult to know the engine temp why would it not be useful to know the trans temp? I'd hate to burn up either. Oil press and Temp are as important as water temp to me and having guages you can see a problem before its too late as opposed to a hey idiot its too late light.

IMHO they just look really cool.
are they all that useful, sort of....but not needed.

definately retro..reminds me of the retro guage cluster on the FJ Cruisers, it looks very cool, sort of useful.

I have purchased 35 new cars, I have only had one tranny go out. That was on a olds 88. Maybe if your in 500 mile race it would be important.

I had an AWD 1000 HP to the ground 04 Denali that went through a few tranny's but also saved a few when I noticed tranny temp getting high.

And what about a standard shift light. The GTO has one. While I'm at it I hate the passenger seat with no vertical height adjustment..
Live in Michigan and then tell me you wouldn't use them or care. When its 20 outside and you think you are safe to get on the car because its been on a while its nice to know where the Trans temp is before getting on it. Get on the trans before its warmed up and tell me how much your car is going to like that in the end. Hell I like it in the summer time when you know the damn thing is already warm its great to know the exact temp so you don't push it.

They serve a purpose whether you choose to use them or not is your problem.

Oil pressure gauge is pretty useless in the V6. under load it pegs up over 70 and stays there (pretty much for every V6 and GM says it is normal). I guess its nice to know that it will telll you if the pressure drops too low but the Upper end is useless for V6.

They may not be too useful now, but down the road when the car has some miles under its belt and it's a hot day in bumper to bumper traffic it might be nice to have these gadges.. More importantly they look
