I think I may have an exhaust leak..or what it is - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

I've got about 2200 miles on my 2011 LS3 and while I was on a road trip and passed 1500 miles I started noticing a sound (from the cockpit) that SEEMS to be coming from the right side of the engine. The first time I heard it was after a pit/gas stop getting back on the interstate and going thru the gears.

This only occurs with the engine fully warmed up and under a load. I have not investigated it thoroughly with the hood open and revving it up yet.

It is a fluttering kinda medium-high pitched noise under acceleration. Somewhat akin to a piece of paper or plastic fluttering in the wind in synch with engine speed. Definitely engine or exhaust oriented

Any ideas. Are slight exhaust leaks common. Is there some other "device" that may be causing it?

I think I have seen a thread on something similiar to this. Do a search for a HVAC TSB that might be the cause.
