Gloss Black or Flat Black?
So, we currently have matte black bowties on the Camaro. I was thinking about also blacking out some of the other details on the car as well but I think that a regular/gloss black might look better if it is going to be used throughout the car. I'm not TOTALLY sure which way we should go, so I thought I would seek some opinions ..
So what do you guys think? Gloss Black or Flat Black? (The Camaro is Yellow.) |

Flat black all the way! It really goes well with the glossy look of the car. I think that if you add more glossy elements to a glossy car then the look is just too, well, glossy. Too shiny as well.

I'd do flat black...but, it really all depends on what you are painting.

The main reason we wanted to do gloss was because we planned on getting gloss painted or carbon stripes .. but I do agree that flat black accents look better.
Would Carbon stripes go well with flat black? The things that we were gonna get done were the Wheels, the Tail Light Bezels, the Bowties, the Camaro emblems and the inside the fascia around the grille. |

I voted for glossy black because I think that the front grille, if staying oem, should also be painted glossy black. I know its too much "shine" for some people, but I think it gives the car a more custom look perse, without having to get aftermarket parts.

Wow, it's all tied up! Very interesting ..
I wonder if both flat and gloss black can co-exist on the same car .. any opinions on that? |
