Maybe. It depends on the parasitic losses you actually experience converting that crank hp to rwhp and what you consider "bolt-on". If you include headers and full exhaust (which i dont consider bolt-on), you can get close. I've been looking closely at what gets you where.
At a 15% loss, a stock LS3 would make 362 rwhp (some are slightly stronger, which helps). Intake, TB, CC, headers and full exhaust and dynotune (another non-bolt on) gets you to maybe 420-430 rwhp or so. 500 x .85 = 425. And you've got a VERY loud car so hope that's OK. You're going to spend $2000-2500 for 60-70hp rwhp and be close but not completely bolt on. Last edited by Indydriver; 02-23-2014 at 05:42 PM. |

Then when we smog it as long as it passes visual. I do not know if there is a company that makes carb headers. Replacing the cam will not alter the tailpipe reading, when smogging it because of the cats. Putting on a factory blower. The Corvette in Cali has a factory blower on it that passes smog. You definately need a tune.

With full bolt on's you wont even break 450HP at the tires. I have about 85% of the available bolt on's and and got 432HP at the wheels and I have a 2013 that has the electric Power Steering.

A dyno is a relative tool. It's not as scientific as we'd like it to be. It can show progress from stock, but it won't necessarily show real numbers. You're better off comparing performance at the track than at the dyno.

If your talking @ the crank you can easily get 500hp . CAI intake, Stainless works long tube headers and retro cat-back system and a good tune gets you there. With the LS-3.
