Ark cat backs vs corsa

Been checking out some exhaust clips of the two ark cat back setups and the corsa. I like the zero drone concept and quality corsa is known for. I'm concerned it won't be much of a change from stock though. I like an aggressive exhaust note some high way drown is ok but a lot of it isn't cool lol. I have a 14 1ls. High flow cats from solo will be accompanying which ever set up is chosen. Can somebody also explain the difference between both ark catback set ups?

The N-2 is slightly higher pitched than the DTS

I just got the N2 and love it.

I also bought the DTS tips, which I'm going to get a friend to weld on soon!

So is the n2 more aggressive or just sound more rev-ish? What's the difference in the tips if you don't mind me asking

The N-2 has an aggressive sound, although it does not have an extremely deep rumble, it sounds more sporty in my opinion, although I love it. The tips don't make it any different, just a different look. I like the burnt tips better than the slanted tips.

Gotcha thanks man! Do you think the n2 with high flow cats would be too loud?

Nope.

I have the N2 setup with Solo HFC and love it. To my ears, it only got a tiny bit louder than it already was and believe me, from a dB standpoint, I've heard much louder. When I was looking around for the note I liked, Ark N2 hit the spot. Second choice would have been MRT V2 but a deal arose which helped tip the scales and I never looked back.

If you look me up on YouTube (same username), I have some dragstrip videos and also one before and after installing the HFCs. I have to confess though the after result sounds louder in that video because the rear of the car was facing into an enclosed car wash bay and the before was outside. Just ignore the warmup part and how echo-y it sounds and you'll get the idea.

The main difference, structurally, between the N2 and the DTS is the N2 has 2.75" pipes w/o resonators and the DTS uses 2.5" pipes and has resonators. Ark's site says the N2 puts out 92db @ 3000rpm and the DTS weighs in at 90db at the same rpm.

The drone spot is right around 2k rpm, which is at or near where you'll be when cruising on the highway. It is audible in-cabin but it doesn't bother me much. I'm certainly not dissapointed. It's a performance car. It's going to be loud.

Another edit, if it helps, here's my SOLO HFC install thread w/ pics: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showth...t=solo+install

Thanks man I checked it out it sounds good, I wanted to ask you if I could request a video? If it's too much a pain in the ass I understand! I'd just hate to put on the exhaust and hfc (I'm doing a CIA cold air intake as well) and have the car sound like a high strung vs engine from the 350 and 370 zs they sound awful under hard acceleration!

Actually I should have mentioned that I also have a CAI intake and it was on in all of those videos. It was the first mod I did so it's been on a while.

What kind of video are you looking for?

Mainly looking for a start up and a drive by. If you could do a few seconds in cabin like on the highway that'd be a bonus. Again only if it's not to much trouble!
