Interior Seat Stitching
I changed the interior seat stitching from white to red since I liked the look. Read a lot before I started decided to go with the sharpie method so i did it one stitch at a time which was time consuming but very happy with the results.

I started my center console and then figured I should clean the threads before because my arm is on it all the time, so I put carpet cleaner on a rag and scrubbed the threads and the threads that already had the red on them didn't fade or anything. |

Did you wipe with a slightly damp cloth or dry? I'm thinking damp would pull some of the ink out until fully dry.

I just used dry, but im sure damp is fine if you don't put directly on the threads right away because the the thread will still be wet.

I used bright red permanent sharpie I bought about 6 to keep a fresh one on hand and wiped with dry microfiber. Used small tipped for smaller stitches and tight areas. Found that with the fat tipped style marker I could hit just a stitch and not get it on the seat which helped speed things up a bit. I guess time will tell on durability but I figure I can touch it up if needed. The stitches really obsorb the ink so I think it will last pretty good.
