I agree... way too much money! However, we need more quotes to get a better idea if this is standard or if Reliable Carriers is just higher than everybody else. There has to be cheaper options out there.

Gary, have you been able to contact any transport companies yet?

I checked a few other places and Reliable is te going rate except for Exotic Car Transport they were approx $600 more.

You should try this site they bid for your business for shipping. I can say when I was looking to ship my truck to Michigan the cost was right around $1000 1-way with a 10 day window.

Wow, 310 in gas does not seem so bad now. That is nuts 2300. I guess we will see what 2011 holds. Funds are much to tight right now.

Well like I said we can always get a caravan to head up to the Fbody Gathering 15 in Altanta over Memorial Day 2011 weekend it's 3 day show and it's a blast. Several people who went to CF Fest went the G14 and said they had more fun

This will be my 10th Gathering.

Too bad nobody knows an independent trucker who has a car hauling trailer and is willing to be chartered.

I wouldn't hold your breath on the fest coming back to the east coast in 2012,More then likely it will be in the mid-west for 2012.

You're right, I may need to wait for 2013 or see where "east" of the west coast this will be, I'm willing to drive a good chunk, but not to AZ....too long...

Just remember one thing about these no-name tucking companies vs. the more notable name brand Reliable, Exotic Car Transport. Most of the ones are all independent companies if someone comes up with a last minute offer and need the whole truck and he can sell it or $10k more then you paid you are struck stranded I have seen it happen a number of times, of it the truck breaks down they have no backup to assist you and take your cars to the destination. So choose wisely when using a trucking company like the old saying "you get what you paid for".

Using a big name company like Reliable or Exotic Car transport drivers are screened before hire, they are limited to the amount of hours they can drive (multiple drivers go on trips), On board GPS so you can track your loads, they have plenty of backup trucks if one breaks down they transport GM’s cars all they time for car shows.

Good luck but I would not feel comfortable handing my car over to the $900 Father and Son Transport with a 1995 Freightliner with 250k on the clock taking my car from Orlando to Phoenix and have no spare trucks if something happens.

Just food for thought

Sean
