Fastest cars for 25K or less...
Hey guys, Im leaving soon for basic training for the US Army. and when I get back from BCT and AIT, I want a new/new'ish car.
I'd be willing to get a 2010 camaro if I can find one at MSRP and not $40K+ I'd gladly put 8K or so down if that would get me payments of around $300....But incase I cant... Can you guys name over some of the best bang for the buck rides for around 25K, The newer the better... I want HP and Trq.... A mustang gt is in my price range but they arent that fast and there are SO MANY of them on the road... Im looking at a 05-06GTO, but Im not sure how expensive they will be to work on since pontiac isnt making cars anymore... I'd rather have a V8, mostly due to their sound, a cammed V8 with full exhaust = S3X. But I'd go with a 350z or some other fast v6... I just dont know a lot about 6cyl. cars though and how powerful some of them are... If you could, list over some cars, then I'll make a poll of which one you guys think is best. Thanks!! |

Stay away from the Nissans. Weak Tran nys/corrosion issues.
You might be able to find a used 10 Camaro by then. If not, a used Cobalt SS might be the ticket. |

However, an 06 Goat can easily be had for 20K or less. Just gotta search hard for the right one. Fixing them isn't a hassle, they use LS2 engines and by law GM is required to keep parts on hand for years to come (probably 15-20 iirc). Easy to modify and just run to the GMC dealership if you need parts. |

Well since your sticking with a V-8 then i'd say a 2004 cobra just cause they sound amazing and can be EASILY made really fast.

Hello!
|
If you are looking for a V8...GTO or Cobra Mustang would be in your price range. Shoudl be able to pick up a 2004/05 for less than $25K.
But, if you want a decently fast ride, good looks and something easy to mod...I think you should look at the Cobalt SS. I've seen several modded to over 300hp, running low 13s or high 12s! If you can, get the turbo over the supercharger. Nissan...nice cars, but I'd not get a 350Z or the likes just due to the cost of modding them! Not to mention the insurance! |
