IF there was a Z28 for the 2011 model year, I'd expect GM to announce it roughly a year from now. The chances of a Z28 happening for the 2011 model year are slim to nil. But it is an interesting question none the less.
However, I think it would be cool to have Z28 as a simple option box that you fill in when you order. No announcement, nothing on the website, even instructing dealers to not say anything about it until you check the box? Anyone else think that would be neat?

I seriously doubt you will see a Z28 next year, my guess would be the year after that. They have the convertible coming out next year and then they will do the Z28 (just my opinion).

As long as we keep insisting that this is what the Z28 absolutely must be despite decades of heritage to the contrary, it will never, ever happen.

The owner of the dealer that my dad works at is on the GM Dealer Advisory Board, he says they normally know about new models and changes to new models about 3-4 months before they are released and most dealers get info about a month after the board. GM "typically" releases new model year cars in late September. So if they do a Z/28 for 2011 you might hear in June/July/August of 2010, if for 2012 then same time frame for 2011. Of course they could always do an early model year release like the 2010 model.

Will there be a Z28?
So, do you think GM will give us Z28?
Will it be LS7 or LS9? Is worth waiting? |

Quoted for Truth
Then you probably shouldn't read threads with Z28 in the title.
