PenFed has 1.49% and something like. .49 if you use their car buying service. I did everything online and had a check in a week.

Good morning--haggling and negotiating has brought deal down to $43,276 + TTL - Rebates at time of delivery--I am more than satisified with this deal--for the exact car I want--delivered to SC--question though--they hit me last minute with $599 in doc fees--I don't want to pay and don't think I should have to pay--do we as purchasers have to pay this doc fee and have any of you just put your foot down and refused and did the deal still go through or not--thanks in advance--have a great day!

I might have read this wrong but didn't you say 42,xxx +TTL before haggle / negotiation. Now your at $43k + TTL?

No Sir you didn't read it wrong--the $43,276 is before rebates--with $500 rebate and $750 USAA my amount financed will be $42,026 + TTL--issue now is the $599 doc fees--which I do not want to pay and would be a deal breaker for me!

I would not pay that much in doc fees. $200-300 is all I have ever heard of. Many times you can negotiate that as well.

Tell them the "other" dealership you were at was like $100, what makes you think I'm going to pay $600?

Anything above 250 is ridiculous and even then its pure profit for the dealer. They need to make up the transportation cost somehow so its going to get worked in somewhere. I would look on their website which lists documentation fees. That way you can see if they're just screwing you or everyone.

I also don't like splitting responsibilities between dealerships. The pickup location will have minimal incentive to make you happy if something is wrong since the satisfaction survey primarily covers the sale location. But thats just me and I rule dealers with an iron fist during a 40k purchase. LOL.

Whatever you do, check multiple dealers. Always pit dealers against each other.

Good morning! After going back and forth with local Las Vegas dealer (see thread above) in regards to doc fees, etc--i decided to go with a Professional and stop all the games I was dealing with.

It is now official--just completed order with Becky of Rodgers Chevrolet (21 Jan 13--my parents 45th Wedding Anniversary)--here is my dream car:

2013 Chevrolet Camaro
2SS/RS/1LE
Summit White w/ Black Leather Interior
Dual Performance Exhaust
Navigation
Sunroof
Heritage Grille
Embroidered Center Console
Premium Floor Mats
Cargo Matt

EXACT car I wanted--delivered right to my local dealership in South Carolina (PCSing 1 Feb 13)--all under the watchful eye of Becky--who is an Angel above all Angel's--throughout the decision-making process and up until ordering she has been the BEST--a pleasure to work with and I KNOW throughout the order/build/delivery process she will help/keep me posted in any and all ways--I am estatic and a happy camper--this will be a "garage-queen" weekends/special occasions/no rain or snow car--I will still use my 2007 Chevy Avalanche as my daily driver.

I am pumped and jacked and hope to get to know all of you more as a fellow 1LE Camaro owner--hooah!

Suffice it to say I got a better deal (and more importantly) better treatment through Becky than I did the local dealer! I have not been stationed at Aviano but hear it us one of the Air Forces best assignments--hooah!!
