Have you been to the track to test the new Diff and Xtreme Chiller, was the Xtreme installed when you ran the 10.89?

Yes the 10.89 had the updated chiller IATs were no concern. I do need to get with you to do the adjustments and maybe a compressor on my car after I get back from work in the spring.

Clinc I can't respond to PMs or Visitor messages, so the answer to your question of what shaft was I running with the S60 I am pretty sure its a 3.5" DS.

[QUOTE=Turbo99;7255008]I recently had upgrade my stock rear to a 3:91 and Eaton Tru-Trac....well 500 mile and 3 passes later it was chirping the tires while turning corners. So out it came and found the Tru-Trac had several bolts that were loose that keep the carrier together.
So I decided to upgrade...Saw that Strang was coming out with a Dana 60 drop in. So I talked to Strange and they told me it would be available in a week or so. I called Thomas at Hendrix and Frank at DSS and they worked their magic with Strange and got me 1 early, I believe the first that was not a test car...according to Strange. Anyway the rear went in flawless and fit like a glove, it is a nice cast piece and came with poly bushings and 3qts of Lucas oil. It was loaded with 3.73 gears and a Strange S-Trac 35 spline inners which is Strange's version of of a Tru-Trac. I also upgraded to DSS 1400HP axles with the new CV joints for lowered cars which doesn't have the bolt together ends on the outer joint anymore. I also got a DSS aluminum driveshaft. The car drives great no vibrations or rear gear noise. I am very pleased so far with the up grade. I can't say exactly what I paid but $6000ish should get you in this set up. The car has 3" Flowmaster exhaust. Sounds like a great improvement. I'm just hoping your stock rear end failure was a fluke failure as I also last winter did LPE's 3:91 gear, with Eaton Tru Trac and I also added LPW's girdle support cover. I'm also lowered, running 315's tires and about at 2000 miles on rear end change, (with some burn-outs) Just this month, my winter upgrade added DSS's CF driveshaft and Hotchkiss frame connector. No drag strip running.... (yet) But if I start hearing some clunk, or bust up my rear, this something to consider! |
