can you rephrase, im confused. ground effects kit doesn't affect what muffler to put on. just tip placement

The only difference between the gfx kit vs regular is what kind of tips they give you. FM is a good choice, I love my FM AT axle back!

You might search for a axleback system that is premade for your car. Typically, they aren't a whole lot more than just the mufflers but come with all the pipes and hangars that are meant for your car. Makes fitment a LOT easier and cleaner looking. It would also save you $$ on the install since the muffler shop will just have labor to charge for. That means no pipes, bending, or anything. Just cut, install, tighten up the clamps. Not sure if they have the tips for the GFX but it wouldn't be anything to cut your OEM ones off and reinstall.

Deeboe – What kind of sound are you looking for? If you’re going to install a set of muffler into your existing pipes you’ll probably need to have a muffler shop make a couple of bends for you. If you want to install a system that’s going to fit right out of the box and install with some simple hand tools at home, you should look at our Axle-Back kits. They will save you money on labor of installation and you’ll get a 409S Stainless Steel system with a Lifetime Warranty.

If you want the same warranty when installing mufflers into your existing pipes, make sure to purchase the Flowmaster mufflers listed as 409S Stainless Steel.

Why does the #817495 kit not fit the factory GFX?
