yeah, especially up here (NY). When we get snow...We really get snow - and the only way to clear it is to salt the roads almost everyday....it sux - cause if it was just a light winter every year - I probably wouldn't hesitate driving it...snow = water = rain = no big deal. Salt = Cancer for Cars...

The salt is just part of it, in fact most places have switched to using safer materials on the roads. The main danger of driving the Camaro in icy and snowy conditions is the fact that it is rear-wheel drive, low, and heavy. All three of these factors combine to give you a car that handles about as well as a shopping cart with a broken wheel when you get them in slippery conditions.

Winters here in South Jersey are generally pretty mild. We might get one decent snowfall a season. MAYBE 2. 3 would be out of the ordinary. Other than that it's just a light covering here and there.

Official Release date

Hey guys, I've been doing some research about the 5th gen camaro and I am getting information that it is going to be released in 2008 and 2009. Does anybody know the actual date when it is going to be released?

Welcome to the boards. Unfortunately GM hasn't released ANYTHING about the new camaro other than it will be most likely first quarter '09. Everything else is just speculation.

In a video I've seen recently (forget exactly where, somewhere here or CamaroZ28.com) Scott Settlemire said it would be on dealer lots February 2009.

And Ed Peper, in a video just posted not too long ago, said it would be "in dealers at the end of 08...beginning of 09." No, there hasn't been an official release date.

Why, you ask? While you're playing poker...would you reveal your hand before you had to? I heard that somewhere
