Tune or not to tune, that is the question!
Hi everyone. I have always been curious about doing this. I bought my car with exhaust and intake installed. The dealer I bought it from said the previous owner put in a Diablo Super Chip (lol). I have no idea how that works or even where to check if it's installed.
So my question is, shoukd I do a custom tune? I don't plan on taking my car to the track but just want it to run on its fullest potential from what I have. I would lobe to install long tunes but don't want to deal with smog here is California. So what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance everyone.

if the previous owner installed that then the warranty is already void. so yes you could get a sct3 tuner from jannetty racing and he will give u a tune for free. the total cost is $400. then if yopu upgrade to lt headers or anything else and you buy the item from him he will update the tune for free

Hi Skanlez - Did they give use the tuner with the car? If it's a Diablo it should look like with one of these..
If not, you'll have to purchase another tuner in order to have the car custom tuned. The American Racing Equal Length Short Tube headers are the best alternative for California emissions. |

If you have no warranty, might as well do a tune.

I just tuned my L99 and what a sleeping giant! Can only imagine what the LS3 will do. Best money you will spend on your car!

I didn't get any of those things. I did however use a Diablo tuner for my charger Daytona. If there's a chip, can I remove it?

That sounds like a great deal. I may do that. May do long tunes after I do my smog whenever I have to do it which I have no idea.

So maybe I don't have a chip haha. I'm very interested in a tune. Have been doing research for a supercharger
