Feel Like I hit the lotto...

Man..after reading all these posts of dealer nightmares and waiting..I feel like I hit the lotto. I have been avoiding looking at Camaro's because I hate getting jerked around, haggling, and waiting. Well I walked in my local dealer while the GTO was getting some work done..and what do you know..and sitting in the showroom they had a Rally Yellow 2SS/RS with midnight rims, painted ground effects, and the black stripes painted (painted very well I might add). Asked how much they wanted...and they said sticker+ the cost of the painted stripes and painting the ground effects. I said..SOLD.

Matches the company colors...and is exactly like I would have ordered the car. The attention you get in this car is insane. Owning the business..I always have something interesting to drive..but this is the first time the neighbors kids have literally come running out the house to look at a car. As someone who remembers where they were when I got news the car was cancelled in 2002, and in the front row when they 2006 was introed at the NAIAS...this is a moment I have waited years for.

Below is a quick picture. Mine is on the right with the ground effects. The other belongs to the husband of an employee of mine. He got his first..so I guess I am the copycat.

Supposedly all of the Winegardner dealership here in Maryland are selling them at sticker (I was told). I know the Leonardtown store still has two V6's..and I am not sure about the Ft. Washington store.

I will take better pictures in the next few days.

Congrats on the sweet ride and not having to pay markup.

Related to Winegardner, when I checked with them they were selling orders for sticker, but anything on the lot was at a markup of like $5k. This of course was the Ft. Washington dealer, so maybe yours operates with some different practices.

Talked to the GM in Leonardtown today at Winegardner..he said they have been buying some cars at auction to have them on the lot. So basically anything that comes from their allocation should not have a mark up..anything they bought at auction might..though some V6's don't.

We are in St. Mary's, but our warehouse is not open to the public. Because of sales tax, our in state sales are pretty low..so it really does not jusify the expense in outfitting like a store in our warehouse.
