Cracked Wheel Options

First off just wondering, when I was told my tire was ok and my wheel is cracked, Im confused how air is escaping from the wheel itself? If the tire is ok, wouldn't the air stay in the tire regardless if the wheel was cracked?

Anyway so I was shown the hairline fracture, and feel the air escaping from that area.

So should I do? get it to a wheel repair place? Call the dealership...I dont think my warranty covers it, or buy a new wheel? Problem with that is that its also a paint job as well. Which sucks.

depends on where the crack is. crack in the rim could go all the way to the tire leaking air out. ANY PICS of this crack

I can't tell but those look like stock wheels, you can get them pretty cheap. I'd just buy a new wheel.

I know when I bought mine I bought the warranty supplement for the wheels. Do you remember if you did that?

If not, you can definitely find a good deal, just check the member classified section.

someone suggested to get it welded. And that tire probably just got knocked off the rim.

meh. air could leak from from that. welding sounds like a good option. but i would definitively have them take the rim off tire to make sure that thats ALL it is
