What you have listed are just a FEW of the specs of a camshaft. Lobe profile, overlap, and many other factors are part of the specs. Bottom line - those are the specs posted by parts suppliers such as Summit, to give a buyer an idea what he is buying. Full specs don't mean squat to anyone except for someone building engines for a living. Kim Barr in Garland, Texas, is an example of a guy that would be savvy what ALL the cam specs actually mean.

TIP FROM AN OLD SCHOOL GUY THAT HAS BUILT OVER 100 ENGINES IN MY TIME: you tell the manufacturer/supplier (I always liked to talk to the factory engineers) what you want to do with your car once the cam is in it. You give him the car+driver weight, transmission type and gearing, stall converter speed and make, rear gearing, rear tire size, RPMs engine can take, all current engine mods, and the type of cam you want (solid, roller, etc) - the engineer/rep then tells you what cam their engineers recommend. I've bought MANY a special grind direct from the manufacturer - the cam came with the BASIC information. The only specs I was ever concerned with was solid lift cam gap settings.
