Add up all the models they quit making , Volt , Cruze, Impala and now Malibu and they wonder why they have no loyal following or sales.

Congrats, they are nearing the zero sales of anything model. Once they announce the reason for the Malibu's demise, it will likely match all the other excuses for previously discontinued models, and whichever model will be the heir to all these discontinued ones will surely be the next one to get the axe.
They are running low on models to discontinue, though. So that may present a problem.

Once they have nothing to sell, they can then tout the popularity of all-electric cars....(sedans of course). Sedans, a segment no-one wants as the excuse to discontinue them, will suddenly be desirable in all-electric models. Only problem is no-one is clamoring for all electric except GM management.

Manual V - happy to see it even if Caddy can't figure out they botched their naming conventions.

that's the old body style. I doubt (if it happens) it will look like that. Edit: Maybe Canyon; I was thinking Sierra.

Only problem is no-one is clamoring for all electric except GM management.
As the long time owners of a Cruze, we cannot understand what they were thinking.
We have several Cruze's in our extended family and we all love them.
Our Cruze Eco has a current maximum gas mileage "score" (I have always hated that little "score" piece of marketing idiocy) of 48.3 mpg. For real.
And I top 40 mpg with it all the time even when pushing it a little bit with the A/C on.
This is just driving it to work and back, nothing special, no downhill runs.
And you still see them everywhere around here because they are very popular.
So of course GM had to get rid of them.
Stupid.

As for EVs, really? No.
When the time comes (sadly) to replace our Cruze we will almost certainly not be buying an EV.
If that is all GM offers at that time, goodbye GM.

And where did all the mini-trucks go?
People still want them.
Not everyone, including us, want or need a truck that weighs 8500 pounds, is the size of the Queen Mary and costs $80k.
Even the Colorado is way too large (as large as my old K1500).
Wake up GM. Someone else will eventually fill that niche.
You will lose.

I like the look too..... surprised it wasn't shown as crew cab 4 door.

It will prolly get shelved just another tease. Wonder what engine they
would use if it had been based on the Sierra instead of Canyon.
Pretty nice horse power numbers from a 5.3 V8.

I like the new canyon design.

I'll keep my fingers crossed that they offer the 5.3 in a AT4 version. (They won't)

It's an aftermarket build.

Not sure what that article means when they say no n/a small block beats the 3.0 TTV6. The LS2,3,7 and LT1 and 2 all outperform the LG6.
