I would get one if I could get it they way I wanted, really like everything about it except things like no carpet, nav, and things like that. Don't understand why they don't let us decide how we want it. If you like it the way it is order it that way, if you want it loaded order it that way. Would love to buy another Z/28, but not this one.
Sooo......you pretty much just described your zl-1 right? Giving up a few seconds but having all your creature comforts. I think you made the right choice for you there.

This.

The Z/28 is a track car that you can drive on the road. The ZL1 is optimized for track but still pretty much a road car. If you like a lot of options and the comfort of a road-like car, get a ZL1, if you don't mind sacrificing those then get the Z/28.

They are having a problem. $75,000 no matter which way you look at it, it's still a Chevrolet Camaro. I've always wanted a Z/28 which won't happen unfortunately because of the price tag.

You will have those that say the performance in it is worth it but seriously, it's 2014. $75,000 can get you the best of both worlds these days. I don't see Chevrolet producing a $75k Z/28 for too long. They will have to offer a watered down version and maybe take a trim level out(I.E ZL1 or 1LE). Too many people want a Z/28 for them not to offer it at an affordable.

Once upon a time . . . Ford dealers had trouble selling Shelby GT350’s and GT500’s because they were perceived to be overpriced in relation to other Mustangs. But that sorted itself out over time, as these matters always do.

You build 3,000+- total examples of a Z/28, and only 500+- 2014’s, and over time sooner or later the marketplace for such cars will arrive. As for how fast they sell or don’t sell when new, there are many factors outside of the price of the car itself that can affect sales. However, some years down the road . . .

Ron White’s tag line will eventually be in play for those who could afford the car, actually wanted the car, but just couldn’t see paying $75,000 “for a Camaro.”

Agreed...but 1le isn't a trim level. Hope they don't do away with the z

It's not just the motor, it is engineered for road track, carbon breaks and so on.

Maybe only 5% of Camaro buyers are on this site.

I would like to have both. I like the ZL1, but also like the idea of the N/A LS7. I'm not saying the Z/28 isn't a really great for some people, I just wish they would have let us decide how we want it.

I read this all the time but I haven't see anyone do it. The LS7 is not a plug and play option...

Beautiful Car .. Congrats for everyone who ordered.. For me 75K is a lot but to be honest if I had the money or was in a good position to spend 75K .. Then it wouldn't matter.. Nothing ios for everyone .. Thats what makes it special!.. ENJOY!!!
