Nope!! Everytime I drove under a bridge or even a large tree branch would lose signal for a few seconds got to be a PIA. When they called to get me to re-up I told the rep about the problem he told me if I changed my mind to call. Never disputed the lost signal or acknowlege it. Use usb with stick now.

I got a renewal letter in the mail and called XM today.
They were going to charge me $38.xx + a 1/4 directly to my credit card to renew !!
I was put on hold for over 25 minutes. They then tried to sell me a bunch of options if I renewed. I finally got them to cancel my acct.
I like the XM radio but not their crappy service and renewal policy. I'll take it back if I'm offered 5 months for $20.00 in the Spring.

I keep re-upping with their 5 month for ~$24 special. However, you HAVE to tell them you want the special again, or disconnect when it runs out or they'll charge you /month the normal rate. They tried to charge me a 2 year subscription out of no where... Had some interesting calls with them.

Also, make sure you tell them NOT to keep your card on file should you pay this route.

I was recently quoted $599 for XM Lifetime + Royality fees (don't recall exact but I think were $85) and another $100 if I wanted best of Sirius. I considered until I saw the service terms - for automotive receivers they don't allow transfer to another receiver unless stolen, damaged or defective (at XM's discretion). Even though I intend to keep my Camaro its an option I'd like to have (I have a Sirius Starmate 4 on a Lifetime plan which I can transfer in the future (but not to the Camaro), this is on my Camaro Aux In now- so XM on the Camaro headunit is more of a convenience, seeing song/station info on the display - a steep price to pay for it though).

http://www.xmradio.com/serviceterms

"9. Lifetime Subscription Plan: A "Lifetime Subscription" is one that continues for the life of the Receiver equipment. Lifetime Subscriptions are nonrefundable. You may cancel a Lifetime Subscription but if you cancel during the first year of service you will be charged a cancellation fee set forth in these Terms. Non Automotive Receivers: A Lifetime Subscription associated with a home, portable, or dock & play Receiver is transferable from one Receiver to another Receiver, up to a maximum of three (3) times. For each permitted transfer of a subscription from one Receiver to another or from one person to another you will be charged a transfer fee set forth in these Terms. Automotive Receivers: A Lifetime Subscription is not transferable if it is associated with a Receiver installed by an automaker or an automotive dealer in a vehicle, except in the event the original Receiver associated with that Lifetime Subscription is stolen, accidentally damaged or if, in the sole discretion of XM, it is defective. For each permitted transfer of a subscription from one person to another based upon a stolen or accidentally damaged Receiver you will be charged a transfer fee set forth in these Terms. No transfer fee will be charged for the transfer of a Lifetime Subscription associated with a Receiver installed by an automaker or an automotive dealer if, in the sole discretion of XM, the Receiver is defective".

In this part of the world, the only thing worse than XM customer service is local radio.

XM subscriber....
