Well seeing how I've had a 1lt and now have a 2ss, the 2lt has everything but the v8 the leather is a plus the cloth seats are ok, so I guess what matters more is sound of engine, gas milage or luxury or power, choices choices choices

If I had it to do over again. I would like the SS badge. But all of the features of the 2 LT for the money. HUD (this is great have it in my wife's truck), leather seats, and I would get the manual. I also think the 2012 come with an adjustable passenger seat.

I have a 2SS. My reason was simply for the extra power. If you don't care about the extra power want better MPG, get the LT.

1SS for me! I'm more into performance than into creature comforts. The money I saved for a 2SS was used for more HP.

I'd go with watever you can afford.......I have a 1LT/RS but I would've loved an SS(any).....At my age insurance is too much for the SS and gas is also better on the v6 so I went with what would let me have more money in my pocket

1SS. Must have V8 and manual. I'm a less weight, more power guy plus sticker was 31k. Got the convenience and electronics package. Whats not to love?

I really don't get why someone would be deciding between those two. They are very different animals. 14 years ago I thought I was deciding between an RS and a Z-28. Insurance costs decided for me. But they were going to be comparably equipped, with the engine being the only real difference.
I guess there are people out there who can't decide between luxury and power. I always try to go for both. Only you can decide which of the two things is more important to you. |

I had to make the same choice and I went with the options over the engine

great topic, 2LT owners will tell you, its got all the fancy stuff in there car, but if i cared about what my interior look or felt like i would have gotten a benz or something. honestly the name, sound, power makes the "fancy" things not seem important.
also there are a lot of people here who trade in there v6. go SS. trust us. |
