WAY TO GO CAMARO TEAM !!!

That's the best looking convertible car profile with the top up that I've seen in a long time. The top material and mechanism seem to be of top shelf quality. Any car can look good with the top down, but it's very few that look good in profile with the top up. Very european upscale, BMW like IMHO.

The camaro team did one hell of a great job on the design of this car's unique but upscale look that's still clearly camaro sexy.

I've never purchased a convertible before due to security concerns and roll over safety, but this car could be the one.

I see some convertibles that have what I called the "raised roof" syndrome, where the center of the top seems to have air lifting it up like a balloon. Some car's just do not have the right proportions or profile when done in a convertible.

I've never been a fan of the hardtop convertibles cut lines where the individual folding panels come together.

Yeah I think there's only one hard top convertible where the design of the top looked right. Maybe not THE most desirable car ever made but the roof actually looked right to me.

Most folding hardtops look horrible - and the folding top for the Camaro would not maintain the lines and shape of the hardtop. The Camaro hard top is just an extraordinarily beautiful line and shape and there is very little alternative to losing that line when you make it a convertible. For us rag top fans, the expectation is that they will have a good look and shape with the top up and a fantastic look with the top down and I think this car achieves that.
Is it anywhere near as gorgeous as the hardtop with the top up? - no, but that's OK

To try to make a folding top that matches the roof line would be nearly impossible considering the slope of the roof line extends all the way into the trunk lid. Making a folding top the same shape as the convertible adds very little to the look, adds a lot to the weight, and takes away alot from the trunk - not worth it

I am looking forward to a nice black 2SS M6 and some top down curve carving!

I noticed that the convert does have a narrower rear seat than the coupe. Looks about right for my yellow lab, but that's about it. My 2000 Mustang convert had a wider rear seat than the new Camaro, don't know why, but it did.
With that said, I think that everyone that is looking to get the Camaro rag top is really going to love it.

We tried putting a couple of big people in the back seat of the convertible, the other day in my studio, to see if it's too small and it's fine. What it loses it shoulder room in MORE than makes up for in headroom! It's a lot better back there than the coupe is at least that's how it seemed with a quick try. I can barely sit in the back of my car by myself and I was fine with another big guy in the vert.

I like it... what I like most about it, is they eliminated the huge blind spot by removing the B pillars, and making the rear side windows retractable....

I just cannot understand how some people can say the convertible dosen't look good with the top up? In the photo of the pre-production car(side view) the top LOOKS just like a hardtop .Of course,it has a different texture,as it should.--I have been reading these posts some of these people have been putting on the site and I think some of them are driving Mustangs!Go wine about what you don't like about the Camaro on the Ford site.--AS soon as GM is ready to take Convertible orders;I am there!! Tonytahoe--

What the heck are you talking about... I don't see any difference between the coupe and the convertible. They look exactly the same to me.
