A very good reason to do a little something to that stamping to make it stand out.....my lettering will be in chrome.

I'm a huge fan of subtle detail, so I dig it as is. Nothing is more cool to me than noticing something like this after closely inspecting the vehicle. It might not jump out at you at first, but that is part of what makes it cool. The devil is in the details.

The hoses coming out from under the engine cover are different from other ones of ive seen, they are taped together but Ive seen those separated with a weird bend/king in them to clear the air extractor hood scoop that comes down.

not sure which is production or pre production, just something I noticed

I am glad they cleaned up the hoses too. I looks much cleaner now. The first two cars have sunroofs too! Now if I can just get them to bring one of the CTF's to me for in depth testing, life would be good. Somebody needs to put a tracking unit on one of the cars so we can keep track of where the pack is going.

Haha, that would be sweet! I would do it, but I don't think they'll be coming through central NY anytime soon.

I saved the pics and blew them up and for sure the first 4 have the new grill. That was the only way that I could see the ZL1 stamping under the hood. I thought everyone had gone ZL1 mad. LOL.

Yes, I saw it in person at the l.a. autoshow, Zl1 logo under the hood!

It is the upper portion of the picture in the center of the hood. It is the same color as the hood. Very easily missed.

I did the same thing and actually if you look closely to the other photos it is there. It is hard to see because of the lighting, but I went to the photo compilation thread and looked all the pics with the hood up and it is there. I never noticed it before now, since I know what to look for. I can't believe that no one has said anything about it before that has actually seen the cars in person.

Great Find OP. I would guess these were the ones since 77 S will take you into Charlotte. Also, Rick purchased the FIRST ZL1 at auction in September for $250,000.
