It's a Dingledarm. It's there to dampen side fumbling. If your marzelvanes fumble too much they can cause total protonic reversal. It gets ugly from there. This is really the biggest problem with the new Camaro. That and the tri-pronged blivot.

Idk I'm assuming they just haven't reported it up yet. Maybe they think GM could say I was abusing it?? But yeah, struts shouldn't be bending and snapping from driving on the street...which is why I'll argue with GM myself if they come back saying it won't be warrantied.

coffee, you can order the hood badges from Roger at emblempros.com...send him an email saying you want the 1le hood badges and what color insert you want (if any). he'll know what you're talking about, and it'll run about $80 for two. i finally put mine on a couple weeks ago...i'm just not that far into my chronology in my build thread yet, lol
