Sunroof Express Close

I guess it's customary to give a brief introduction on a first post, so here goes... I've been following this board since around January. I put in my order for my 2SS/RS with Sir Walter Chevy in Raleigh, NC (FABULOUS dealer, btw) in April and got my car about a month ago. And I'M LOVIN' IT! With that out of the way, on to my question...

The sunroof open/close button is just like the window buttons in that it is a toggle switch which clicks when fully pressed in either direction (express open/close). When I fully push it to open, it clicks, and the sunroof completely retracts (express open), but when I press the button fully to close, there is a click, but no express close. I'm just curious if this is they way everyone else's sunroof behaves. I don't really want to take it into the dealership and look like a maroon, ya know..

TIA

Sorry this is unrelated. You mentioned Sir Walter Chevy in Raleigh and liked them. Who in particular did you deal with? I am still not sure to order or wait but I am researching good dealer experiences in the Raleigh area.
Thanks

I'm going to assume that it's also standard that the sunroof does not have a vent option, where you press the button and it only pops up out of the roof and does not continue to slide all the way open?

I would have liked that option...

Much appreciated! It seems like somebody missed a memo or something as to why the thing won't do an express close.

Right, if you keep tapping the open button to try and get it to just the right spot, but it doesn't have a preset vent position is all I'm saying.

I was wondering this too after reading the manual on how it won't express close, and yet it still has that button click when closing. Would have been nice for sure. :(

The sunroof does have one touch vent. It does have express opening. It does not have express close.

This was annoying me too. There are 2 possitions on either side of the switch but it only express opens? Maybe I'm expecting too much coming from a Jetta. Apparently GM blew the budget on style over engineering. If the car wasn't so god damned sexy I'd be pretty mad about all the little nagging ergonomic woes that come with driving this car every day.

I think you have to push the button lightly, quick, or both. I can't vent it but my wife can.
