Im going this coming weekend if all goes well. Vararam, 1LT 18s + whatever tires I end up getting and cut outs on stock exhaust. Shooting for a 13.5 run myself.

GOOD LUCK Darkness.................personally I just don't see you getting that low in the 60' or the 1/4 mile.

I know you think so, but after reading these forums for over the past 2 years and watching everything to do with the 1/4 mile, I really don't see that happening with your set-up. I hope the best for you thou. PLEASE prove me wrong and then you will need to tell us how you did it.

As you can see from the drag strip drag radials really help out with 60 foot times.... Time to invest I think!
I think you should definitely be able to hit a 2.0x 60' with your setup? What tires are you running? How are you launching?

Track prep at our little track is pretty hit n miss with a lot of miss. Maybe someday I'll run it at a big track but for now I'm content and have run at worse.
He's on the stock 20' pirellis.
The capabilities of a modern V6 is amazing. You can pull 30MPG, mid/low 14s in the 1/4 mile in a somewhat heavy platform, solid reliability, ect. A set of gears, a good 60ft. time, and some driving skill and 13's are a sure thing. A nice alternative to a V8 unlike in the past when any V6 version of a ponycar was a boat anchor at best.
I agree. If you would have told me 30 years ago when I was hot rodding the big V8's, that one day I would be driving a V6 with 323 hp I would have laughed my ass off. (Not to mention driving a car that looks as good as my Camaro)

Like usa1 said it's stock 20' pirellis with little tread left. I think I'm going to pick up the tires you had on your scrming.

Cool... and even if you only spin one wheel, i would still do a good burnout to heat it up... and then once you pull forward a bit, to a bit of a brake torquing to spin a bit to clean them off...

I think the stock tires are made of two different compounds - I noticed on mine when I got near the tread wear indicator the traction was non existent.

Great seeing you out there again, BaylorAF.

Negative DA? Wow.
You def bypassed my time. I see that you are ready to take the bolt on list by storm lol.

Hell of a run paul
