I wish...didn't take that pic. I'm still trying to figure out how to use my new camera.

Thanks guys. June was a crazy month at work, and I couldn't get on here much. Here are some updates.

I couldn't find any engine covers for the Whipple. Pete at Showstoppers wanted to put something together but couldn't find a Whipple car to measure. I emailed RotoFab and they said they have no plans to make anything. Instead Owen at ARD fabricated some for me so I'd be ready for the Kemah Show.

I know this is going to come up, so here's a preemptive post.

I'll take some shots tomorrow at cars and coffee and post them up.

I picked up two awards at our recent Kemah Show. The first was a people's choice award, and the 2nd was a sponsor's choice. Owen was supposed to pick the winners, since ARD sponsored the trophy. Because he had several cars in the show he went and found some outside judges to go around and pick the three winners.

Most importantly the show raised a lot of money for a great local charity (Kidz Harbour).

My car is going to ARD in two weeks to have the 4L80 put in. I'll post up some details once that gets started.

The LSX is still on the agenda sometime before Camaro Nationals. I'll probably have Owen start building the 427 sometime this month.

No. Owen built me a Stage III 6L80 a while back, but that won't be enough once the LSX goes in. I figured I could enjoy the 4L80 while he builds the engine.

Ah. So there's nothing wrong with what you got. Just gonna break the new one in while the 427 is coming?

Yea. It needs to go in anyway. Owen's going to look mine over, and replace anything that's worn so I can sell it.

We've all kidded around about L99 vs LS3, but I've always loved a manual car. The main reason I went auto was because of my daily commute. I hate riding the clutch in traffic. This will give me the thrill of shifting without having to deal with that. And because the shift is instant I can stay in boost the entire time.

Gotta love it!
