And that little guy claimed the record for front wheel drive.

Im thinking we will see around 8:00~8:05 for the top camaro. the track is for handling, power will help only so much there. Based on what we've heard from the G8 regarding handling, and since the top camaro will have a s/c'd engine turning out 500+hp I think it will hold its own very well. Stoping won't be an issue, neither will going. Holding onto that speed in the turns will be the real key. I expect it to be good, but not exceptional. 0.9 g?

I'd bet it'll be better than that... tires are so good these days. If they spec some HIGH end tires the chassis should support 0.95g or slightly better... the balance is good, and the tires are HUGE so I'm hopeful.

Well, with the ZR1 and CTS-V (I think) getting Michelins and not the usual Goodyears, I think there's chance that Camaro could get either of those, or even the Parellis(?sp?) as we've seen in many images. I'm wondering where are those HUGE brakes I've seen in other shots that look just like the CTS-V brakes... These look great regardless, but I liked the other big brakes a little more.

From the G8 GXP press release...

"The Brembo braking system matches the GXP's boost in performance with an equivalent increase in stopping power. The system includes 14-inch (355 mm) vented front and 12.76-inch (324 mm) rear disc rotors, with special quad-piston alloy calipers in front. The alloy calipers on the rear brakes have single-piston actuation. The four-wheel disc brake system includes standard anti-lock brakes and traction control."

And I second the significance of the Camaro spending time on the 'Green Hell'... Personally I want to hunt down M3's and the only way to do that is with a car that has power AND handling... and it looks like the Camaro will have BOTH!

They might be using the same front brakes as they both share the same platform, but the rears are definitely different on the camaro pics. For the better I might add. So that's one of my suggestions for the car down

I am also giddy thinking of John Henricy flogging this car on the ring and helping work out its suspension. FTW !!

Nice pics....BUT please. Don't justs autmatically give all of Europe those yellow lights just because some countries have them. Here in Sweden we don't have to have them and I sure hope they won't be like that here.

Hi Geno, the smart guys know the shark fin is for the XM radio, if not the Onstar. They just hate it. Me, it does not bother me in the least.
I like shark fins, the Camaro will be the Great White on the streets.
And welcome aboard, this is the only site to be at!

I didn't read the whole thread (as I should) but anyone notice the tail light assembly in the yellow. Look like we are going to see that afterburn effect inthe light. The assembly looks like it has already been fitted for that type of effect.

Thoughts?

Good pics, great to see it will have excellent brakes.
Look's like the back up lights are there to stay.
Not sure about afterburner effect, looks more like a normal shiny ring.
It doesn't look lit up to me.
0.95g might be the limit to expect, we'll see.

Put up new photos. You should be able to see the tailights even clearer.
