I only have one word for these pics:

BREATHTAKING!!

If that type of event were to go public I will definitely make a trip out of it.
Everyone was smiling. I wonder why.....................:p

So THAT'S where all the wiring and engine stuff went LOL! Cool pics. They need to bring the Camaro to Kuwait so us deployed troops can check it out.

What's all that stuff in the trunk?

Car looks very roomy for a muscle car. Seems like the rear passengers are sitting very comfortably.

GM's Milford Proving Grounds... boy, I wish we could have taken pics of some of the other FUTURE cars we saw running around... but we were fortunate enough to be allowed to have our cameras to take the pics we did. Cameras are strictly prohibited on the grounds, and special permission must be granted to any visitors to take them in.

"Stuff in the trunk" is wiring, battery, etc...seeing as its a concept car, the engine bay needs to appear "clean", so they located the wiring, battery, etc. in the trunk.

So that's where they hide the wires. I always wondered how they kept the engine area looking so pristine. But what's promising is that if you look at that trunk, and take out the battery and the wiring, it's one heck of a deep trunk! Especially for a pony car! I really like this. This is what I'm looking for in this car, as well as the V8 power. Everyday practicality. Only thing is the hinges on the trunk need to be shortened so they don't obstruct too much space.

I'm so jealous! you guys are so lucky!
I noticed that on the coupe they had the small quarter windoes rolled up and on pics 49 and 50 you can see a piece of weather-stripping with what looks like silicone glue? but i hope they can get them to be functional on the finished product without excessive wear. Anyways Great shots!! and that 67 pace car was awesome too!

The pace car was actually restored by one of the focus group attendees. GM bought it from him for their Heritage Collection.

It was really cool, Tom Peters took us for a ride in it, then Kevin, the guy who restored it, got to drive it for the first time in several years.
