It should be more than sufficient for light duty applications.

However a little bit of every Camaro owner will die to see such a magnificent beast chained down like that.

Can someone enlighten me on the cons? And why people shudder at this idea? I have 550 lb/ft of torque

I thought about towing my jetski with the Camaro and getting a small trailer for hauling stuff so that I could sell my truck to pay down the car loan not to mention I don't even want the truck anymore. But I just can't force myself to do it with the car. A short jetski trailer is hard enough to back down a boat ramp sometimes even in a vehicle with exceptional visibility let alone a Camaro because you can't see the back of the trailer until it's turning, heh. I guess I'll just hang onto the truck for truck uses and it's always nice to have a backup vehicle (that's paid off, lol).

My truck and jetski do look good together, heh...

(Yea I know the proper term is PWC/Personal WaterCraft but most people know them as jetskis, heh)

I mean if you have to tow with the Camaro, I mean, you gotta do what you gotta do. I would if I had too although I agree something just doesn't look right with a sports car towing a trailer, heh.

I think it's obvious that the Camaro isn't meant or marketed as a Sport Utility vehicle but more of a sporty performance vehicle, heh. Kinda like buying a motocross bike just to add lights, mirrors, kickstands, forest approved spark arresters, etc... Yea you can do it, but the machine isn't really meant to and there's makes and models made more specifically for the purpose.

At the end of the day, people can do whatever they want with the vehicles that they own. Sure the design is not meant for it, but you are taking the responsibility for the things that you do it. Just like parking your ride too close to someone... Chances of door ding is that much higher... But you as the owner made that decision... So do what you want you proud Camaro owners! Show off all of what the car is possible of!

Some of us cant afford our toys and 3 vehicles to see us through the year. I wonder if I found better mounting points if I could up the tow rating to 2000 lbs.

The Camaro now has a tow rating of 1000lbs. As long as you don't try to tow more you will be ok.

I think we need more threads like this to remind everyone that this car does more than just look pretty.

Awesome! I was thinking the next vehicle I'd buy is another truck... but... after seeing this, if I tow with the Camaro then I can get a Subaru WRX instead, and own my two favorite sport cars
