Question Generation with Most Driver Room

Out of the six Camaro generations, which has the most driver interior room for larger (fat) drivers? How many have you driven?

I imagine the center console makes a difference. In which model year did the Camaro first have a center console?

It's definitely not 3rd, 4th or 6th. 5th is pretty roomy for the driver, but I've not sat in a 1st or 2nd gen to be able to tell you if there's more or less room or not.

I have a second gen and I have driven several first gen and everyone that posted first gen has the most room is right and the second gen does com in second. I would say the 4th gen has the least along with the 6th gen.

I've sat in a 1st Gen and the very first thing I noticed was how small the cabin felt to me. 5th Gen by far has most room for driver comfort by far.

Isn't the third generation roomier than the second generation?
The second generation has more room that the fifth generation?

I've seen first generations and early second generations without the console. Was it optional up to a certain model year?

I had a plain jane '67 327 2bbl powerglide with a console. Made the perfect platform in front to mount my 8 track, lol.

Yes the consoles were optional until sometime in the second generation. Look at 1st gen COPO Camaros. They were typically stripped down cars that had one purpose and one purpose only, go fast and many of them didn't have consoles.
