$1500 GM Card Points Available for $975 ($525 off your purchase)

Hi Everyone,

UPDATE: See Last Post for Details. $2250 off your Camaro for $1250.

I’ve built up another $1545.72 in GM Card Points that I’d like to offer for $975 since I won't be using them in the near future. (I’ve done this before, thread here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=389869 )

The bottom line is if you are ready to purchase a new car now you’ll get an extra $525 off of your purchase out of the deal. How does this work?

- Find a vehicle at a dealer of your choice.
- Negotiate your price first (including all current offers and incentives).
- Last, tell them you are a GM card member and want to redeem $1500 in earnings.

You can search Camaro5 for others who have done this (other than through me) if you are not familiar with the process. Here is another thread.

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=349086

Current Camaro redemption allowances for 2014, 2015 and 2016 are $1500. If you are interested in other vehicles let me know.

PM for details. First come, first serve. This is not a scam, I’ve done it many times. Everybody wins.

Thanks!

I'm curious about the points redemption. Do you know how long it took you to get that many points? Do you only get 5% back on the first $5000 spent every year?

So GM is now posting allowances on the 2016 Camaro? I wonder if we can now confirm other discounts on the car.

Where are you seeing that the 2016 Camaro is eligible for this? It doesn't appear to be shown on the gmcard.com website.

Thanks for offering this by the way....sounds interesting...

There are a few different versions of the card, I have an older one but not the oldest. On my card you earn 5% on everything without limit. How long it takes depends on what you use your credit card for. I'm not sure what the rules for the current card are.

Again, there may be different versions of the card but as posted above, I can log in to my account and find the points allowance for the 2016 Camaro. I can't speak for others.

Bump. Had an arrangement set for a while that didn't work out on the other end. Now over 2000 points available but limited to 1500 on the Camaro. PM for details. Thanks

I now have a GM Card offer for $750 in bonus earnings that can be used ABOVE the normal redemption allowances. The bottom line:

$2,250 off your Camaro in exchange for $1,250. This bonus earnings offer is good through Feb 29.

Thanks

I got the same thing but read the fine print. The bonus amount AND the increase in redemption limits are ONLY available to the listed authorized users on the card AS OF 01/01/16. You could still add someone now and do the regular $1500 redemption though.

Thanks for posting! This is a REALLY good way to save some bucks of off the loan / initial pay.

I was going to do exactly this via a corvetteforum member but I couldn't only because my vehicle was delivered without me knowing.

Do you know if we can redeem 2 different GM card points? I just actually applied for the card but would it be possible to redeem my card points AND yours?

Maybe, I did not see that on mine, however, it worked adding someone after that date (1/3/16) and the deal has been done, $2250 off his new Camaro.

I have 1000 more available right now for $600 and if there are no takers will build up again to 1500 soon.

Thanks

I don't think this is possible, it is likely just be possible from 1 card at a time but I could be wrong.

I did this transaction on January 4 2016 for my new 2016 Camaro 2SS. I received both the $1500 and the bonus $750. Both of which were displayed on my sales contract as a instant cash rebate. The dealer was more then happy to add these as GM pays for it, not the dealer.

As for the transaction it went really smooth. I had his contact info and even called him during the transaction for some further information that my dealer required. I am a very skeptical person, and the seller was willing to make certain concessions to ensure I was more comfortable/had more recourse should I get scammed.

For what its worth, I'd do the transaction again, without hesitation. Thanks again!

Thank you for replying. I was just curious, as I do have that option but I am sure GM wouldn't allow you to use 10 different cards and buy the car for free lol.
