The first test of the Z/28 in the same hands turned out low 12's at around 114mph. I'd hope it can do better than that but it will still come no where near the GT-R.
You mean faster in the 1/4. We don't know the track time for the Z/28 yet, or do we have a comparison of the Z/28 vs the Skyline on a real racetrack?

Pretty sure when most people ask which is faster that they don't mean on a road course.

Well if most people buy GTRs and Corvettes for drag racing they are not using these expensive cars for there intended purpose.

So the article is about a match against the GTR and the Z28 - but the GTR didn't complete the competition due to a wheel stud issue?

Useless. The article ends with butt dyno bench racing conclusions. Everyone knows the GTR is quicker in a straight line by tests on both cars. If the point was to see who is faster around a track course, then this effort was nothing more than a tease.

Yup. It sounds like it's worth it though, at least until the new Corvette Z06 comes out.

I would still take a GT-R over ANY car all day every day.

Hopefully in a couple years I'll be in the market for one.

Something was clearly wrong with that GT-R, otherwise a Z51 C7 is faster then a ZR1 and a Z07 Z06, which we all know that is not the case. Don't wanna be a Debby downer, but a C7 besting a GTR around a track or at the strip is definitely not the norm, and if anyone thinks the two cars are on an even performance metric is just fooling themselves. I do appreciate the link. Just for reference, the GT-R has run a 1:19 on that particular track configuration.

I think they referenced a problem with the GTR and mentioned it should be good in any weather condition for its price.
