Some of us lived thru the 4.6 4V NA days and listened to the "no replacement for displacement" BS for years and F-Body drivers acting like clowns everytime we ran into one on the street. You could not post on the net without listening to all the BS. Most of it was based on myths like the legendary 330 rwhp bone stock LS1 and how much faster an LS1 was over a 4.6 32v NA Cobra. All myths. When I had my 99 and 01 Cobras I had F-Bodies on me like flies on cow turds.

Then I got my 2003 Cobra in June of 2002. Didn't take long and I could not find an F-Body. It was like driving thru a Street in Zombieland. I was laying Greyhound bus lengths on F-Bodies on a drag strip.

I didn't know they went 11.2s stock. That's moving. I swear, since the ZL1 and the GT500 came out, I lost motivation to mod my car at all.

It's all about purchasing certain products and knowing which ones work hand in hand with each other for optimal results.

You can respect a fast car, that doesn't mean you have to like the manufacturer

I would think that if you couldn't bring yourself to actively like the other mfr, you could at least appreciate it for putting out a car that you did have respect for.

Just as your overall opinion of the mfr of the car that you do own might drop if you're looking to buy a vehicle in a different market segment and nothing in their line-up comes close enough. Been here more often than not.
